I am perpetually curious, and love to learn new things. Raised in Alabama, Louisiana, and a bit in Washington State by a tribe of inveterate brainstormers, I'm always excited to get to work with a group of people interested in solving a problem, helping people, and/or doing something even just a tiny bit better than we did before.
Tracy Chapman's "All You Have Is Your Soul" was released the fall of my senior year in college and became my career choice theme song. Before I became a librarian I worked in a variety of nonprofits, coordinating programs, writing grants, doing lots of training and working with volunteers. Now I answer research questions and happily and geekily teach people how to research stuff at UL Lafayette.
